Cardboard Cut-out Nature Motif (Collograph)
Collagraph- a printmaking plate made from cardboard, either by gluing various actual textures or or by cutting and removing layers of cardboard
Nature Motif- a simple or stylized design based on something found in nature; leaves, flowers, insects, for example.

- Choose a Nature Motif
- Simplify it into positive and negative shapes
- Enlarge or repeat the motif to fill the plate space.
- Add a border or other designs to balance the amount of cut and uncut areas in the design.
- Transfer the design onto cardboard (pencil outline)
- Cut-and peal away the "negative" or "positive" shapes to define your motif
- Use the brayer to roll a thin layer of ink on the surface of the cardboard, place the paper on top, and use even HAND PRESSURE to transfer the ink to the paper.
- Repeat the printing steps using different inks, blend rolls, and different paper surfaces
- Make sure each of the 8 prints are high quality, and unique approaches (none are identical)
