Skills your student will learn in Printmaking
- Use their Eyes/Hands/Minds to make something meaningful
- Fine Motor Skills (cutting with an X-Acto blade, carving with a gouging tool, silkscreen printing, stamping, and other creative explorations)
- The foundations of the Visual Arts (Elements & Principles),
- Learn about artists from throughout history and across cultures
- Cooperation and Collaboration
- This course can lead to Advanced Printmaking and/or AP 2-D Design
Materials & Resources Needed for Success
- Thank you for your Donations to cover consumable materials for this course! (see the QR for online donations)
- Bookmark the course website and Aeries to stay on top of demonstrations (posted videos) and grade progress (always live and up to date)
- Keep up with the pace of the course and come to Open Studio (Griffin Lab) Tuesdays @ lunch & after School + Thursdays before school & @ lunch
Behaviors for Success
- On time, making up missed class time, send emails if you will be absent (Late projects deduct 1 letter grade, I do grade incomplete work as it appears)
- Attentive listening and watching during demonstrations
- Daily Persistent Effort & Self-Advocating for help as needed
- Daily clean up :)
